Tonight I realized just how important being a delegate is. I went to Todd Richardson's meeting tonight. He is running for Davis County Sheriff. I think he has a lot of vision, but I am not sure if he has the experience he needs to lead the Sheriff's Office. Besides that, he would not directly answer questions. While he said he did not want to point fingers at administration problems (his incumbant is running for re-election) he did. I definitly will have to listen to what Sheriff Cox has to say and why we should keep him around.
My planner definitly will be full over the next few weeks. I really want to make an effort to meet the Republican hopefuls. Finals are also coming up... la la la!
On Wednesday I went to the bookstore and ordered my graduation invitations. It makes it real in a sense. What a strange feeling. The big day cometh May 4th and 5th.
Good news! I have accepted an internship with the Deseret Morning News for the summer. Three months of real world avoidance! Wa-hoo! Actaully, it holds potential for a real life job and may be a great first place to be. There is a high bar for me however. Both the New Media Dept and City Desk fought over who could have me. I later found out that the publisher eventually made the decision and sent me to the City Desk. It is really quit flattering to know that my skills gained in college have given me such an advantage. At the same time, there will be a lot expected of me and I will have to work hard to keep the bar where my new employer has put it and work to raise it even farther.
